Released in 2001, the Gothic RPG has seen relatively few direct imitators over the years. Among their producers, one could find studios from Poland, such as the independent Laughing Fox Games from Gdynia. One of its projects was End of Eden, a work that draws handfuls from the adventures of Bezimienny.
In End of Eden, we watch the action from a third-person perspective (TPP). The production takes us to a fantastic world, more precisely - to the title island of Eden, which we can freely roam. Exploring it, we face the beasts living on it, avoid anomalies, as well as get to know its inhabitants and perform tasks for them. In addition, we can join the ranks of one of the three guilds that operate on this piece of land. The developers did their best to make the game world seem alive, so both NPCs and monsters have their own routines.
As you progress, you will improve your character by equipping him with increasingly powerful equipment (which can be manufactured yourself using the crafting system) or by developing so-called talents, which translate into his skills in combat (close quarters, ranged and magic), as well as in crafting and acquiring resources. At the same time, access to some of them is conditioned by membership in a specific guild.
During dynamic clashes we have to show dexterity, reflexes and knowledge of adversaries' movements. Not always reaching for the weapon is the best option; many tasks have been constructed in such a way that it is possible to complete them using other methods.
