Release Date: cancelled
A sandbox title developed by Build A Rocket Boy, a studio founded by Leslie Benzies - former president of Rockstar North. Everywhere can't be classified under a single genre, as it offers many different experiences. The project is closely related to the MindsEye game and to its extensive editor called Build.MindsEye.
Everywhere is a sandbox production that eludes clear genre classification. The project was developed by the Build A Rocket Boy studio from Edinburgh, founded by Leslie Benzies - former president of Rockstar North. In some respects, it may remind of the extremely popular Roblox.
Everywhere was not released in the form originally announced for this project. Ultimately, its final form was partially taken over by the editor built into the game MindsEye (released in June 2025) and it was called Build.MindsEye. Interestingly, according to the original plans, MindsEye was supposed to be one of the components of Everywhere.
In Everywhere the so-called Utropia plays first fiddle - it's a hub serving as a community center. It is surrounded by various biomes (such as meadows, canyon or volcanic wasteland), in which we can find special challenges that diversify the fun.
Utropia also serves as a kind of base from which players can move to various districts, focused on a specific theme. The available areas include the Racing District (focused on fighting for victory on the tracks), the Combat District (as the name suggests, it is dedicated to dynamic skirmishes presented from a TPP perspective), and the Entertainment District (offering attractions such as a special museum). There are also a DJ room, access to the MindsEye game, as well as The Collection, where we can admire the works of other players.
The game offers a wide range of possibilities for creating our own content. The ARC-adia package allows us to create our own enemies and design original levels, and then place them in districts corresponding to their theme and mechanics. Nonetheless, it can also be used to create smaller elements, such as small objects or cosmetic details. The game allows us to upload our creations to a special store, from where they can end up in the hands of other player-creators.
Everywhere allows for both single player mode and multiplayer gameplay.
Everywhere operates based on the Amazon Lumberyard engine (which was prepared based on CryEngine). It is also closely related to other technologies under the Amazon Web Services (AWS) brand, such as the Twitch streaming service or the Amazon GameLift used for creating dedicated servers. It's worth noting that, contrary to the initial fears of many players, the final game does not use NFT or blockchain technology.
