A survival sandbox TPP game. In Forgotten Seas we can sail in the Bermudas using a ship we've created ourselves. The game is about exploring, obtaining valuable resources and engaging in battles on sea, land or the ship's deck. We can play solo or in coop.
Forgotten Seas is an action survival game developed by the independent team Pangea Game Studios. It was made possible thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. The game allows us to play the role of a beginner sea wolf, trapped in the Bermuda wasteland infested with pirates. We must fight for survival while looking for a way home.
In Forgotten Seas we watch the action from a third-person perspective (TPP). The game provides us with a vast, open world, consisting of water stretching to the horizon and picturesque islands scattered across them. Given that the sea regularly absorbs some patches of dry land and exposes others, the archipelago's layout is constantly changing, revealing to us new mysteries we haven't explored yet.
Our primary activity in the game is collecting resources. In order not to let our character die from hunger or dehydration, we must take care of food and drinking water supplies. Additionally, we obtain wood and other natural resources, which we use for the crafting system. Crafting is used primarily for the construction of structures in ports and other places that are our safe havens, as well as for the construction of various ships, which we can then use to traverse the Bermuda. The authors implemented a unique system, because each ship, regardless of its size and cargo capacity, can be hidden in a bottle after landing on dry land. When necessary, we can throw it into the sea and after a while enjoy the sight of a ship ready to sail or fight.
Our actions do not escape the attention of pirates prowling these waters, so we often engage in dynamic skirmishes with them. We fight enemies both at sea, on land and on board ships . During battles on open waters, we must pay attention to the speed of our ship and the direction it has taken, as well as carefully position ourselves in relation to adversaries. When it comes to a direct confrontation of our character with enemies, we have no choice but to reach for a weapon and engage in a duel. Apart from pirates, threats also include storms, various anomalies such as whirlpools, or finally, powerful beasts hunting for careless sailors.
During our visits the archipelago we can also search for treasures buried there. In order to get to the valuables, we need to collect pieces of maps leading to them, and then organize expeditions to the places indicated on them. Wealth is closely guarded, so we often have to face various dangers, led by the rising sea ready to engulf a given piece of land when a certain treasure comes into our possession.
Forgotten Seas can be played alone or in online coop.
