Forza Horizon 5 Expansion Pack
Release Date: March 29, 2023
Rally Adventure is the second major expansion to Forza Horizon 5. It adds a new map set in Mexico (Sierra Nueva), offering a new career focusing on road and off-road rallying.
Rally Adventure is the second expansion to Forza Horizon 5 - it's a paid DLC adding a new map and a new career, requiring the base game to function. It was developed by Playground Games and published by Microsoft.
Rally Adventure takes place in the Mexican region of Sierra Nueva, set north from the lands available in the base game. It's a large, separate map consisting of six different biomes. Its most common features are desert and rocky landscapes, as well as twisted narrow roads.
This region is where the Horizon Festival holds a new racing competition. During our new career we can build up reputation with three different teams, participating in different kinds of races (road, gravel, night). Raising our reputation lets us unlock new events and new rewards. Curiously, we're not forced to participate in off-road competitions - the entire expansion can be beaten while sticking only to road races.
A new addition to Rally Adventure are time trials, during which we're accompanied by a pilot reading notes regarding upcoming turns and other obstacles on the track - like in a typical rally game (though the notes here are simplified, and the pilot is sitting in a helicopter rather than our car).
The expansion also includes new cars. There are ten of them, most being high-performance off road vehicles - we've listed them here:
All of the content offered by Forza Horizon 5: Rally Adventure is playable in singleplayer and in online co-op.
The visuals of Rally Adventure are at the same impressive level as the base Forza Horizon 5, although the developers have slightly improved the terrain deformation system for the purposes of off-road racing.

6GAMES
The open-world racing game series, which was born in 2012 as a spin-off of the series Forza Motorsport. Initially, it remained somewhat in the shadow of its older sister, but after a few years it came to the forefront and became one of the most important exclusive titles in Microsoft's catalog. Suffice it to say that Forza Horizon 5 broke the record for the number of players playing simultaneously on the day of release in the publisher's games (more than 4.5 million people). Hand in hand with the excellent sales go the very high ratings received in reviews by subsequent parts of the series. Overseeing the brand since its inception is the British studio Playground Games, in cooperation with the Turn 10 Studios team (authors of Forza Motorsport).

No spectacular releases this month, it seems. However, this doesn't mean that there's nothing to play! There will be plenty to choose from, but don't count on high-profile debuts – rather on humble celebrations and getting ready for spring.

Game Ratings for Forza Horizon 5: Rally Adventure Video Game.
GamingBolt: 8 / 10 by Shubhankar Parijat
Forza Horizon 5: Rally Adventure might not feel as different in its offerings from the base experience as last year's Hot Wheels expansion did, but it proves to be yet another chance for Playground Games to showcase how fundamentally fun the Forza Horizon formula is.
COGconnected: 80 / 100 by Alex Everatt
The Rally Adventure expansion is not a bad way to close the chapter on Forza Horizon 5. It’s definitely not as epic as the Hot Wheels expansion was. However, it brings with it a pretty significant new area, new vehicles, and a new variation on racing that the Forza Horizon 5 hasn’t fully explored before. The price of admission isn’t too pricey, so if you’re still engaged in Forza Horizon 5, or looking for a reason to jump back in, the Rally Adventure expansion isn’t a bad investment.
IGN: 8 / 10 by Luke Reilly
Rally Adventure is more conventional than last year’s outlandish Hot Wheels expansion, but fusing the open-world foundations of Forza Horizon with the arcade accessibility of Sega Rally is still a winning combination.
