An action game with beat 'em up and shooter mechanics developed by the Nagoshi Studio team, led by Toshihiro Nagoshi known for his work on older Yakuza games. His new project shares many similarities with Like a Dragon series and the main character is played by the popular actor Ma Dong-seok.
Toshihiro Nagoshi was one of the most distinguished employees of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and Sega companies, credited with the creation of the Yakuza / Like a Dragon series. After parting ways with Sega, he founded his own development team. Nagoshi Studio, as it is called, chose an action-adventure game titled Gang of Dragon for its debut project. It tells the story of the gangster underworld in Tokyo.
In Gang of Dragon the action is viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP). The game takes us to Kabukicho - a district that is the center of nightlife in Tokyo's Shinjuku. During the game we mainly deal with settling criminal scores. We do this by punching enemies, fighting them with melee weapons, and engaging in shootouts. There are also spectacular car chases.
The main character of Gang of Dragon is Shin Ji-seon (played by Asian actor Ma Dong-seok). He is a high-ranking member of a Korean crime syndicate that controls Kabukicho. Although it's a story about violence, the protagonist also finds time to build relationships with various characters.
