Ghost Parade is a two-dimensional platformer with elements of an adventure game. It was developed by Lentera studio from Indonesia. Aksys Games is responsible for its release.
The main character of Ghost Parade is a girl named Suri, who was late for a bus due to an unfortunate nap in the classroom. She decided to shorten her way through the forest of Svaka, allegedly haunted by cruel spirits. The rumors are quickly discovered to be true, albeit only partially. Although there is no shortage of spiritual beings in Svaka, Suri easily befriends the immaterial inhabitants of the forest, who will gladly help her get out of the forest. In return, she must protect the home of her new friends from the people who are destroying it.
The basic mechanics of Ghost Parade are similar to old-school side-scroll platformers and their successors like Rayman Legends. The gameplay comes down to traversing two-dimensional maps, overcoming obstacles and the enemies. The problem is that Suri doesn't have any superhero abilities of Mario or Rayman to help her confront enemies. Instead, she must use the help of the spirits obtained by completing quests - we can use no more than three phantoms at the same time. Each of them lends the girl different abilities, and some of them combine into hidden combinations, giving more powerful effects.
Ghost Parade offers hand-drawn two-dimensional graphics that make the game look like a fairytale.
