Ghost Song is a 2D metroidvania action platform game developed by Old Moon. We explore the dark and mysterious world of the moon Lorian V, playing as Deadsuit awakened from a long sleep.
Ghost Song is a 2D metroidvania action game with detailed, atmospheric sci-fi locations and varied combat with encountered aliens. It was developed by Old Moon, an independent studio, and published by Humble Games.
On the moon Lorian V wakes up from a long sleep Deadsuit - armed and ready to fight, but deprived of memories and purpose. We take on the role of the protagonist and explore the nooks and crannies of a dark, alien and hostile world, encountering ancient remains and secrets and defeating powerful creatures to discover or remember the truth about this place and ourselves. We are not the only ones lost, we meet other characters on our way and learn their stories.
We travel through vast, interconnected locations, sometimes jumping on platforms, defeating enemies and unlocking access to other areas, sometimes well hidden. While fighting and exploring we gain new weapons (both ranged and cold), ammunition and upgrades to them and to our suit. We can use them in various combinations to achieve optimal results against the encountered aliens and mutants.
Game runs on Unity engine.

Game Ratings for Ghost Song Video Game.
PC Gamer: 49 / 100 by Dashiell Wood
After a promising opening, Ghost Song collapses under the weight of its ill-conceived mechanics.

Everything about Ghost Song screams quality, and it shows that Matt White and crew put a lot of love into this game. As a big Metroidvania fan, I fell in love as soon as I started playing and couldn't put my controller down until I beat the game twice. If I had anything negative to say, I would be that the game feels dated, especially after playing Metroid Dread.

undefined.Taken as a whole, what you get out of this experience will vary dramatically based on how much its melancholy tone and setting make up for its sometimes unforgiving design elements. Although its boss fights are an annoyance, the haunting atmosphere, contemplative character writing, and well-realized space leave a far greater impression than its gameplay gaffes, repeatedly pulling me back into this world. There have been many cracks at this genre since Metroid's chiptune synths first accentuated its foreboding alien backdrop, but few emulate and transcend its ambiance as well as Ghost Song.
