Mechanics

In Goken the action is shown in isometric view. The creators provide us with a vast open world; the places we visit are diverse, including dense forests, picturesque beaches, snow-covered mountain ranges or various towns and settlements.

While crossing the land, we carry out tasks commissioned by its inhabitants, as well as we face all kinds of adversaries. The combat system is dexterity, and during the clashes we have to perform quick evasions and lead out rapid counter-attacks. The hero can use two selected weapons at the same time, which is important as some opponents are sensitive to attacks with a particular weapon type.

As the protagonist progresses, the protagonist gains experience points and progresses to the next levels. Then he can decorate his body with one of the available tattoos increasing its combat potential by increasing the maximum number of points of life, extending the endurance belt, and learning new attacks. In addition, the Edge can upgrade weapons using the resources gained through adventure.
