GREENFIELD is an adventure game solo developed by Kyle Smith. It runs on the Unreal Engine 5, featuring surreal visuals and mysterious atmosphere.

Plot

The game is set on an island holding an old outpost - home to forgotten technology. The main protagonist must restore its subsequent stations to open the way to the central section and discover a dark secret.

Mechanics

GREENFIELD is a side-scroller, tasking us with exploring and solving environmental puzzles. The player must explore a vast research complex, learning about the technology it holds. There are five stations to discover, each dedicated to a specific energy source - completing them upgrades the protagonist's exoskeleton, letting us explore new areas.

As we learn the facility's secrets, we'll get to make use of various vehicles, such as boats. The game's main appeal, however, are the gradually unlocked special abilities, including a protective, floating bubble or a jetpack. We'll make use of fire, water, air, light and magnetism technology and

face huge guardians - mechanical animals out for our blood. To defeat them, we must cunningly exploit the laws of physics.
