GamesRadar+: 4 / 5 by David Houghton
Not a bad game, but frustratingly one that succeeds despite its innovations, not because of them. An enjoyable campaign, but not a truly convincing one.
IGN: 9 / 10 by Brian Albert
Where single-player has its successes and failures, Halo 5's multiplayer is one big, sustained high point.
Forbes: 9 / 10 by Erik Kain
All told, Halo 5: Guardians is a smashing success. The campaign isn't the strongest of the series, but it's still a fun space opera romp, and its ending transforms the Halo universe completely.

Halo 5: Guardians Description
Halo 5: Guardians is the fifth main chapter in the sci-fi FPS game series, one of the cornerstone franchises released on the Microsoft company’s consoles. This installment was developed by 343 Industries and is the first game in the series tailored specifically for Xbox One performance.
Story-wise, the game continues the plot introduced in Halo 4 in 2012, which followed the now famous John-117, commonly referred to as Master Chief. In the fifth part, however, he is not the only playable character. When an unexpected attack on a human colony shakes the foundations of peace yet again, humanity discovers that their hero has seemingly vanished without a trace. The game introduces a new protagonist: Jameson Locke, officer-gone-Spartan featured in the Halo: Nightfall live action series, whose objective is to find Master Chief and solve the mystery that threatens the entire human race.
The game’s story mode lets you explore three completely different worlds, while playing solo (with AI controlled team), or in cooperation for up to 4 people. Apart from the single player campaign, which shows events from two different perspectives, Halo 5 features also a vast array of multiplayer modes that the series is known for.
343 Industries did not simply copy well-proven ideas – Halo 5 features two new multiplayer modes: the Arena Mode is, generally speaking, a successor to the 4v4 team competition featured in the previous Halo games, the brand new Warzone Mode features epic battles for up to 24 players plus AI-controlled bots. This mode combines elements of PvP and PvE, as the rivalling teams have many extra objectives to complete. The battles are fought on large maps, the largest in the history of the series.
Halo’s debut on the eighth generation consoles led to a significant improvement in terms of visuals, as compared with the previous installments. Moreover, the game makes use of a number of exclusive Microsoft technologies, such as Kinect 2.0 or Xbox Smartglass. The community and social features were expanded as well, employing new version of Xbox Live.
