Hazen is a proposal of Bulgarian studio Dagger Games addressed to fans of the hack'n'slash genre. Originally, it was the developers' intention to release the title in the form of four separate episodes, but in the end only the first of them - Hazen: The Dark Whispers - was released.

The action of the game was set in the reality of fantasy. During one of his expeditions to the forest, the herbalist Malestos discovered a mysterious boulder. Within a few days the find became his obsession. It turns out that a magical stone is a trap set by the demon's ruler, Hazen. Promising immortality, he captured the soul of Malestos and, with his help, managed to accede to the army of the undead, whose task is to conquer the land.

The character created by the player is a daredevil who must stop the possessed herbalist and his minions. Like classical cRPG games, the hero is described by psychophysical coefficients (strength, intelligence and dexterity), to which skills are related. Along with the experience gained, it is possible to develop individual attributes of a hero.
