I Am Fish

In I Am Fish the action was shown from the third person perspective (TPP). The authors give us four fish that differ in appearance, way of being and skills. While the agile goldfish is a great swimmer, the slow blowfish gathers air and rolls on the ground like a ball, the piranha moves chaotically and often uses its teeth, and the flying fish is the only one that can fly short distances.

The heroines travel through the county of Barnardshire in England. As the adventure leads them not only through rivers and reservoirs, but also through streets, interiors and roofs of buildings, the protagonists, enclosed in glass spheres (but not only, as jars, buckets or mugs also turn out to be good aquariums), have to roll, avoiding or jumping over numerous obstacles and dangers. The fish are threatened by both cars and household goods standing in their way, wild animals and people.

It is easy to break glass aquariums because a physical engine ensures that they behave correctly. For example, it makes the containers filled with water gradually gain speed, rolling downhill. If our aquarium ends up in pieces, we have a brief moment to get back into the water - whether we're talking about a fountain, a pool or even a sewer. If we fail to do so, the fish we're controlling ends up dead and we have no choice but to start from the last checkpoint.
