IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 is yet another reincarnation of a popular flying simulation series set in World War II. This time Maddox Games in cooperation with Ubisoft company created a combined pack of content from all previous Sturmovik games, expanded by new elements.

There are 229 playable planes in the game, 32 of which are brand new for the series – e.g. Ar 234 jet bomber and Blitz MiG-9 jet fighter. There are also 200 fresh military missions included within 9 campaigns for USSR, Third Reich, and Japan. You can fly over authentic regions, where the conflict was fought in 1940’s, e.g. near Kiev, Bay of Bengal, Korea, and Khalkhin Gol. It is noteworthy that the developers prepared not only historic scenarios, but also alternative battles (in 1946 during the prolonging World War II).
