Productions related to the genre of tactical games have accustomed us to the fact that the vast majority of them require us to pay due attention to the gameplay. Slightly different approach to the matter is taken by Intergalactic Cleaning Squad, which is a game bordering on dynamic strategies and clickers with a pinch of tactics. The production was developed by independent German studio Rigid Games from Berlin and is its first commercial project.

Gameplay

In Intergalactic Cleaning Squad we view the action in an isometric view. During the gameplay we take control of the titular squad of intergalactic cleaners. Our task is to eliminate monsters and other cosmic threats facing the Universe.

Levels, combat and upgrades

The production is divided into levels covered with a grid of square p?les. We deploy on them a trio of our sub-commanders, who are in charge of fighting the monsters that attack them.

The game puts at our disposal a number of upgrades waiting to be unlocked in exchange for points earned along the way. Among other things, they allow us to increase the chance of a critical attack, improve the rate of fire of weapons or damage inflicted by ricochets, or even provide a character with the ability to heal his allies.

Automated gameplay

So what does Intergalactic Cleaning Squad do differently than most other genre-related productions? Well, the title allows us to switch to automatic mode and give the characters full control over the battlefield. In this way, we can limit our role only to passive observation.

Graphics

Intergalactic Cleaning Squad is based on the Godot engine. The graphic design of this production was made in pixel art technique. Complementing the retro style is a special CRT filter that makes this item similar to games from the 1980s.
