JackQuest: Tale of the Sword is a metroidvania production developed by independent NX Games studio. The game was released by Blowfish Studios, whose portfolio includes titles such as Gunscape and Siegecraft Commander.
JackQuest: Tale of the Sword takes us on a journey to a fantastic land. While playing, we play as the title character, whose beloved Nara was kidnapped by a powerful plough, the Korga. Without thinking too long, Jack chases the monster and ends up in his underground hiding place. There he finds a sword that becomes his faithful ally as he crosses a dangerously gloomy cave.
In JackQuest: Tale of the Sword the action is shown from the side. The gameplay consists in traversing the interconnected locations that create a kind of labyrinth, avoiding traps and various dangers, solving environmental riddles and fighting against the enemies encountered, among which the leading bosses are the mighty bosses. As Jack progresses, not only does he gain new weapons (such as bow) and power-ups, but he also gains a variety of skills, allowing him to confront ever stronger enemies and reach hard to reach places. All this is complemented by secrets and optional challenges.
Two-dimensional graphics of JackQuest: Tale of the Sword are kept in a pixelart style. The struggle is accompanied by a dynamic soundtrack.
