Jagged Alliance 2: Wildfire is an enhanced version of the popular turn-based isometric strategy game released at the end of 1990s. The improved edition is based on an unofficial modification of the original, created by a Russian called Serge Popov.

The player assumes command of a mercenary unit with the mission of eliminating a powerful group of drug dealers at the request of the American government. Despite the fact that we conduct operation is a fictional tropical country, Arulco, other aspects of the game are faithful to their real-life counterparts. The following elements were made more realistic:

  • Flora and inanimate objects.
  • Buildings (mine fields, watch towers and the like were implemented).
  • Armaments (balancing of the existing ones and adding new weapon types, such as MP5A3 and UZI submachine guns as well as HK33, HK MSG90 and V-94 rifles).
  • Sound effects.

Moreover, the structure of missions was significantly redesigned which resulted in the increased importance of side quests. The whole is complemented by a greater number of enemies and enhanced AI that controls them.
