King Arthur: Pendragon Chronicles is a hybrid of a typical RTS with elements of RPG games, created by two development teams - Spore Games and Game Consulting. The producers took their inspiration to create this programme from a film of the same title, directed by Jerry Buckheimer.

The storyline takes the player into the distant 6th century, where Uther Pendragon, a knight from a little noble family, known for taking the legendary Excalibur out of a solid rock, was created to take his land away from the invaders. The Saxons control the eastern part of the country, and whoever tries to cross the areas above the Hadrian Wall is immediately attacked by the Picts. There are also no Irish pirates who want to rob the country and start an invasion of the west coast. In a country without a ruler, completely ruled by chaos, the title Arthur must show above-average skills in order to control the situation. His job, with Merlin's help, is to get the approval of the other Lords, as well as to find the thirteen mythical treasures of Britain and create the most magnificent knighthood. 12 territories of Great Britain are waiting to be conquered and reunited, as well as a whole host of "mini-jobs" that add variety to the epic adventure.
