Kingdom: The Blood

Kingdom: The Blood is an action RPG based on the license of the popular TV series of the Netflix service. The game was developed by Action Square, a South Korean-located studio known for such games as ANVIL, Blade and Blade II: The Return of the Evil.

Plot

The game is set in the 16th-century kingdom of Joseon (modern-day Korea), where a zombie outbreak occurs.

The campaign of Kingdom: The Blood recreates the basic events of the serialized original, telling the story of a Joseon prince who discovers the spreading plague and, along with a handful of companions, tries to stop it before it overtakes the entire kingdom.

Game mechanics

Kingdom: The Blood is an action RPG in which the action is observed from a third-person perspective. We explore the world, complete quests, develop the character and, above all, fight using an arcade battle system.

We have to face both zombies and human opponents in battles. The authors modeled the game on traditional Korean fencing styles.

We have the opportunity to visit, among others, various palaces and the city of Hanyang, and the creators paid a lot of attention to faithfully recreating the locations, costumes and other elements of 16th century Korean culture.

Game modes

The lone player can play in the story campaign and a conquest mode consisting of a series of five-minute skirmishes. Multiplayer is also available, allowing PvP duels against other players.

Technical aspects

The game features fully 3D graphics.
