Kingpin: Reloaded

Kingpin: Reloaded is a refreshed version of the FPS Kingpin: Life of Crime, which was released in 1999 on PC. Slipgate studio is responsible for the production. They previously worked on an arcade platformer Rad Rodgers. The game was released by 3D Realms.

Plot

The story described in Kingpin: Reloaded takes place in a city that combines the style of American metropolises from the 1930s and the present day. The entire story focuses on the fate of a criminal working for the Kingpin. When the protagonist is betrayed by his lieutenant, Nikki Blanco, he decides to take revenge on his former fellow men.

Mechanics

Kingpin: Reloaded belongs to the first-person shooter genre. The player has a wide range of weapons at his disposal, which he can use when crossing the city streets and fighting against enemy gangs. In addition, to increase his influence, he can recruit new members to his gang using the refreshed dialog system.

The influence of the player's gang can be increased by completing various types of missions. Kingpin: Reloaded offers more missions than the original.

Game modes

Kingpin: Reloaded offers players the classic game mode, where only resolution (up to 4K and 60 frames per second) has been changed, and a separate adventure variant with significantly improved graphics.

There is also a special "No Violence" mode in the game. When it is activated, production loses its original brutality.

Technical aspects

Kingpin: Reloaded refreshes the graphics known from the original, while maintaining its characteristic, dark style. In addition, the production received support for the controllers.
