An action game, combining LEGO bricks with the DC Comics universe. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight offers Gotham City as a large open world, travelled on foot, using the cape or in various vehicles. We can follow Batman's entire career, recreating iconic scenes and dealing with the famous superheroes & villains.
Over the years, TT Games studio has specialized in creating action games that combine well-known licenses with the LEGO brand. Among them, several series have developed, such as LEGO Batman. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is the fourth installment under this banner and it serves as a kind of summary of the series.
In LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, the action is viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP).
The game allows us to trace the entire career of the Batman, from his training in the League of Shadows, through becoming the night guardian of Gotham, to the establishment of a group of heroes caring for the safety of the city's residents.
Apart from Batman, characters such as Jim Gordon, Catwoman, Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl appear in the game. As for the opponents - Joker, Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy and Bane lead the way.
Gotham City from the game has an open nature. We can explore it on foot (which is facilitated by a grappling hook launcher), using various batmobiles (and a tumbler) and batcycles, as well as gliding with the use of a cape. Among the locations waiting to be visited here are places like Arkham Asylum, ACE Chemicals, or Wayne Tower.
The driving force of the game are missions, in which we face opponents and save Gotham from further dangers. The missions set before us are diverse, and involve both engaging in dynamic duels and acting quietly or demonstrating detective skills.
The game recreates a series of iconic moments known primarily from Batman movies, doing so with a wink, enriching individual scenes with humorous elements.

Game Ratings for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Video Game.
PC Gamer: 83 / 100 by Jody Macgregor
There are a couple of Arkham games better than this, but also a couple that are worse.
MKAU Gaming: 10 / 10 by Hayden Nelson
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knights feels like the ultimate Batman fan game disguised as a LEGO title. TT Games somehow managed to capture everything that makes Batman such an iconic character, from the darker Gotham atmosphere and Arkham-inspired combat, right through to the humour, gadgets, and the ridiculous amount of fan service packed into every corner of the game. As someone who grew up obsessed with Batman, this honestly felt like stepping into a playable tribute to the Dark Knight’s entire legacy.

I'm pretty sure everyone on the LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight dev team could beat the rest of the world at Batman trivia. Sometimes that makes for fantastic jokes and cool recreations of iconic scenes, and sometimes it results in an overabundance of references without the substance to back it up. The Arkham gameplay is a great new spin on the LEGO formula, and this brick-built Gotham may be one of the city's best interpretations yet. If you go in with the right expectations, this could be your new favourite LEGO game.
