Lies of P Expansion Pack
Release Date: June 6, 2025
The first big expansion for the third-person soulslike from 2023, inspired by the Pinocchio tale. In Lies of P: Overture we return to the city of Krat and thanks to a new mysterious artifact we can visit a version of the city from the past and shape its future. The expansion also brings new locations and bosses.
Lies of P: Overture is the first expansion for Lies of P, an action RPG game of the soulslike type, released in 2023 and inspired by the Pinocchio novel. The authors of the base version of the game - Round8 Studio team - are behind the development of this DLC.
In Lies of P: Overture we return to the city of Krat and take on the role of a puppet named Pinocchio, created by Geppetto. Thanks to a mysterious artifact, the protagonist is transported to the past, able to see the city shortly before the massacre known as the puppet fury, which deprived it of its beauty reminiscent of the 19th-century Belle Epoque. Joining Leia, who is burning with a desire for revenge and known as the Legendary Tracker, the hero must make choices that will affect both the past and the present, as well as the future of the metropolis.
In addition to the new story, Lies of P: Overture introduces a number of new locations that we explore as Pinocchio. We can visit both lavish residences and the outskirts of the city full of monuments, as well as eerie ruins.
On the way, we face previously unseen opponents (led by bosses), and also make use of a new arsenal and fighting style.
Lies of P: Overture is a non-standalone add-on, so it requires the base version of Lies of P.

Game Ratings for Lies of P: Overture Video Game.
Lords Of Gaming : 9 / 10 by Alex Patsy
I’ve always loved Lies of P, and in a crowded market full of Souls-like, it remains my favorite. While the Overture DLC isn’t perfect, particularly with its difficulty scaling, most of my other complaints feel like nitpicks. Some areas in the new zones can feel a bit linear, but that’s easily overshadowed by the gorgeous environments and creative level design. One moment you're battling wolves on a snowy mountain, and the next you're dodging flaming pins in a twisted, dark carnival. Also, the music was excellent and complemented the new content perfectly. The game ran flawlessly on PlayStation 5 Pro using the High Frame Rate/Quality mode. I experienced zero performance issues throughout my playthrough. Not every boss stood out, but the ones that did were excellent. The final boss fight, in particular, was one of the most memorable I’ve played in a long time. If you're a fan of Souls-like, I can't recommend Lies of P: Overture enough—it’s a must-play addition to an already fantastic game.
Use a Potion: 9 / 10
Overture might not be a total reinvention, but it’s a sharp and confident expansion that knows exactly what fans love about Lies of P – and gives them more of it with plenty of style and substance. It’s a must-play for fans of the original and a promising sign of what’s to come. Whether you’re returning to Krat or simple never left, Overture proves there are still more brilliant strings to pull in the world of Lies of P.
Gamer Social Club: 8.5 / 10 by Andrew Cooper
Overture somehow builds on the foundation of excellence the base game started. The story is emotional and connected in ways that make every decision have weight, the gameplay is as polished as ever and filled to the brim with tons of challenge and skill expression, and the world is one of the of the most depressingly beautiful setting I’ve experienced in a long time. I thoroughly enjoyed revisiting the ruined streets of Krat and can’t wait to see what Neowiz comes up with next. Overture stands as one of the most fun, albeit short, DLC’s I have played since Phantom Liberty and I wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone who enjoyed the main game, or Soulslike fans in general.
