The second part of the science fiction action adventure game series. In Lifeless Moon we play as one of the astronauts who, after arriving on the Moon, discover an Earth city on its surface, thus beginning a strange and mysterious journey.
Lifeless Moon is the second installment of the action adventure game series, launched in 2014. Game was developed by the authors of the original, an independent team Stage 2 Studios.
The action of Lifeless Moon takes place long before the events presented in Lifeless Planet, because in an alternative version of the 1970s, at the time of the first missions from the Apollo program. Game tells the story of two astronauts who, having arrived on the moon, discover on its surface... a familiar Earth city. Thus begins their strange and mysterious journey.
Although this game is not a direct prequel to Lifeless Planet, the two stories are loosely connected, and fans of Stage 2 Studios' first work will find some references and winks here.
In Lifeless Moon we observe the action from a third-person perspective (TPP). During the game we explore the surface of the Moon and discover its secrets, while following the development of the story full of mysteries, surprising plots and psychological motifs. In addition, we solve puzzles, on which this title puts much more emphasis than its predecessor. There is also a place for small platform elements in the game.
Graphics in Lifeless Moon is average at best; simple geometry of objects and quite stiff character animations can be a bit "mousey". The title uses virtual reality kits, but does not require them to work.
