LocoRoco Remastered is, as the title suggests, a remastered version of the 2006 platform game that was released on PlayStation Portable. Gameplay focuses on shaking the pieces of the LocoRoco's world in order to move the game's spherical heroes to their destination points. We have to be careful though. There are many traps and obstacles that will make our job harder to do.
LocoRoco Remastered for PS4 is, as the title suggest, remastered version of the 2006 PSP game LocoRoco. The PS4 version of the game has visibly improved visuals and controls that now use the motion sensor from the DualShock 4 game pad.
In LocoRoco Remastered for PS4 we have to shake the pieces of the game’s world to move the game’s heroes, round, yellow spheres, from one place to another. We have to be very careful in order to avoid traps and safely get our spherical protagonists to the finish lines of the various locations we will play in (i.e. a tropical jungle or an area covered in snow).
We can also feed them with fruit to make them bigger. Doing so will give us more points when finishing a level. However, the bigger our heroes, the harder it is for us to move them around. The possibility of dividing them into smaller, indepdentend ones for a short period of time comes in handy in such situations. LocoRoco Remastered is full of riddles and puzzles, so very often we will have to rely on our wit and intelligence. The are also many hidden surprises in the game that only the most inquisitive players will find.

Game Ratings for LocoRoco Remastered Video Game.
Critical Hit: 7.5 / 10 by Geoffrey Tim
Over a decade later, and LocoRoco remains one of the bubbliest, most charming games I've encountered. Uniquely beautiful, LocoRoco's aged well too, and is still a delight to play.
Digitally Downloaded: 3.5 / 5
LocoRoco can be confusing, wearisome and infuriating at times, but it's still impossible to stay mad at it for long. It's a happy game without gratuitous conflict or drama, and its sheer optimism alone prevents its shortcomings from ruining the grand vision. It's a game which just works, and without a doubt, the PS4 remaster is the best way to experience it.
Push Square: 8 / 10 by Stephen Tailby
What we're left with is a decent port of PlayStation's happiest game. If you can forgive the occasional audio bug and a teensy bit of slowdown, you'll have a wonderful time with LocoRoco Remastered. Fans will no doubt pick this up regardless, but newcomers should expect a kaleidoscopic, sing-songy platformer with simple, tactile controls, a catchy soundtrack, and a decent variety of stages to roll through. It's well worth the price of entry, and a pleasant reminder that not all games need to make you feel empowered or make you think. Sometimes, it's enough simply to make you smile.
