Lords of Ravage

Lords of Ravage is an RPG with turn-based strategy elements, which lets us stand on the other side of the barricade and play the villain. It was developed by Synthetic Domain, an independent studio whose portfolio includes the warmly welcomed Mainframe Defenders.

Plot

Lords of Ravage takes us on a journey to the fantasy world. We play as one of the title Lords of Ravage - heroes who in exchange for great power let themselves be consumed by darkness. However, the glory of the protagonist seems to be fading. In order to change the fate of the world and regain his former glory, the protagonist must find a powerful artifact, along the way facing anyone who tries to thwart his plans.

Game mechanics

We start the game in Lords of Ravage by choosing one of three Lords of Ravage, who are characterized by different appearance, skills and fighting style. Then there's nothing left for us but to throw ourselves into the vortex of dark adventures. To build our own empire, we have to make alliances, recruit stronger units, collect powerful artifacts, invade cities, and above all - show the heroes where they belong.

Among the opponents trying to stand in our way we can find both single brave adventurers, as well as classic teams or even whole armies. It depends only on us whether we decide to enter the arena at once or first try to weaken the enemies by sending our subordinates against them. Battles, which we observe from the side, take place in turn-based mode. During them we have to skillfully use the strengths of the protagonist and his servants, making good use of their combat abilities. Apart from that, an important role is played by proper positioning of particular units on the battlefield and combining attacks in spectacular and deadly combinations.

As you progress, you develop both the Lord of Ravage and his entourage, unlocking access to new units and upgrades for existing soldiers.

Technical aspects

Lords of Ravage features high quality graphics. The developers managed to combine pixel art with modern effects in an interesting way, led by realistic lighting.
