The Canadian Nine Dots Studio gained recognition thanks to the game Outward, released in 2019. While working on its sequel, the game Outward 2 announced in 2024, developers from Quebec City decided to prepare another project. We're talking about Lost in Prayer, a production on the border of tactical RPGs and roguelikes, in which our task is to escape from purgatory through heaven or hell.

Gameplay

In Lost in Prayer we most often watch the action from a bird's eye view.

Travelling through heaven and hell

The pillar of the gameplay is tactical combat taking place on arenas covered with a grid of square fields. We lead one of a series of characters, differentiated in terms of fighting style, preferred weapons, unique abilities (which can be linked into spectacular and effective combinations), as well as different strengths and weaknesses.
