Lost Legions

Gameplay

In Lost Legions we view the action from a third-person perspective (TPP), and we play as one of several characters. The game provides us with a vast, open world diversified in terms of terrain topography, vegetation, and the animals that inhabit them. By exploring the world we collect resources that allow us to survive and increase our chances of saving Rome's honor.

Apart from food obtained from hunting, wood plays an important role in the construction of various structures. The things we construct and initially simple and provide us only with a makeshift shelter, but our capabilities in this matter increase, thanks to which over time we can build real military camps. The crafting system also allows us to produce increasingly advanced tools, as well as different types of weapons and armor. We discover more items by recovering the broken equipment left by fallen soldiers.

Combat is one of the main elements of the game, because the Teutoburg Forest is full of threats, most notably the Germans roaming the thickets. During battles, we must carefully observe the movements of enemies to discover their weak points and gaps in defense, as well as to launch accurate attacks, while being ready to block a blow or perform a dodge. On the battlefield, we can make use of various weapons, including melee weapons (primarily swords), thrown and ranged weapons (such as bows).

Although initially we can only defend ourselves, over time we take the initiative, which allows us to attack enemy villages and take control over them, allowing to rebuild them according to our preferences. We don't do it alone - as we progress we find other legionnaires who managed to survive and who will join our small army. Apart from fighting side by side with us, they can also engage in activities such as exploration and searching for interesting places and useful resources.

Game modes

Lost Legions can be played alone or in online co-op for up to three people.
