Midtown Madness 2
Release Date: September 22, 2000
The second part of the famous series of arcade car races created by the giant from Redmond. Again, we crashed in the crowded streets of vibrant metropolises in the form of San Francisco and London. The authors have prepared ten new cars and trucks to choose from, giving us a total of twenty machines.
Midtown Madness 2 Description
Midtown Madness 2 is an evolutionary improvement on the first part, which has deservedly gained great popularity. We are still racing in the crowded streets of the city, and the basis for success beyond the driver's skills is to find the best shortcut, usually not very legal. Driving against the current, on sidewalks or at a red light is the norm.
Compared to the first part we have realistic streets of two cities, San Francisco and London, and ten new cars and trucks to choose from, giving us a total of twenty machines, unfortunately not all are available from the beginning of the game. Especially San Francisco is fun, because the long straight and hilly terrain gives the opportunity for spectacular jumps in the air. The graphics have been slightly improved, but are a bit out of the competition. The game still has the charm of the first part, but the changes are not as big as one and a half years after the release of the first Midtown Madness.
