Monster Jam is a real life motorsport show in which so-called monster trucks compete, racing and performing stunts. These events began in 1992 in USA, and ten years later the first video game under their license was released.

Monster Jam Showdown is the ninth entry based on this series, and the first to be created by the Italian studio Milestone (known mainly from MotoGP and RIDE motorcycle series). THQ Nordic, which has been publishing the series since 2019, handed the production over to this developer, taking it from the Rainbow Studios team responsible for the previous two installments (Steel Titans and Steel Titans 2).

Gameplay

Monster Jam Showdown is an arcade racing game. This means it offers an accessible and spectacular driving model, although not devoid of realism (we can adjust it to our preferences by turning various assists on and off). Thanks to the official license, the developers were able to offer authentic models. They're monster trucks participating in competitions now and also in the past, as well as models existing in the form of toys. A total of 40 vehicles is in the basic version of the game and we can compete in arenas inspired by real places.
