A cozy RPG game with agricultural elements, set in a fantasy world. Moonlight Peaks has us playing as a young vampire. Our task is to transform our estate into a large supernatural farm. We can plant, customize the farm and go to town to meet people and have potential romances.
Moonlight Peaks is an agricultural RPG game that presents typical mechanics of this genre in a fantasy world full of supernatural creatures. The game was developed by the studio Little Chicken, known for such games as Blaze Revolutions and Track Lab.
In the game, we play the role of one of Count Dracula's descendants, who goes to the titular Moonlight Peaks to build a farm and shape his own legacy - not necessarily as a blood-curdling vampire.
The town is home to all sorts of monsters and creatures. We can meet other vampires, werewolves, mermaids, and many other supernatural inhabitants on our way, who come out of their lairs at night. It is then that we will not only meet new friends, but also build deeper romances.
The gameplay in Moonlight Peaks is inspired by Stardew Valley, both in individual mechanics and in the main concept. It means it's an economic strategy within a sandbox RPG in the world of vampires.
We start the fun by waking up and leaving our crypt. We have a lot of work to do outside. We start by preparing the area for supernatural crops, and then we start placing plants. It is crucial not only to take care of the plants, but also to water and curse at them, because it is mainly thanks to the harvests that we receive the coins needed to manage our farm - the more unnatural they are, the more we will earn from them.
One of the crucial facts is that we are a vampire and therefore, taking care of the farm during the day is impossible. We have to complete all tasks and plans at night. This can be aided by supernatural abilities such as unlimited transformation into a bat, thanks to which we can move quickly around our lands and town.
Apart from overseeing our farm, we can also buy and choose various decorations that will allow us to reflect our style and taste. An equally important aspect is learning how to brew potions and cast spells in the form of enjoyable mini-games.
When we find time for a moment of escape from farming duties, we can go to the town to meet its inhabitants, and even try to start a vampire romance with them.

Even with these minor issues, I found myself eager to return to Moonlight Peaks each and every day. After putting a slightly concerning number of hours into the game for this review, I still feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of all the mysteries the town of Moonlight Peaks has to offer.
