Netherworld Covenant is an action RPG, enriched with mechanics borrowed from the roguelike genre and heavily inspired by soulslike type productions. The game was developed by the independent team MadGoat Game Studio, which has a significantly smaller project Lucky Mayor in its portfolio.

Gameplay

In Netherworld Covenant we watch the action in an isometric view.

Allies from the underworld

During the game, we take on the role of a character holding the so-called Nether Lantern. It is a forbidden artifact serving as a bridge between the worlds of the living and the dead. Thanks to it, we can establish contact with the souls of fallen warriors and momentarily give them the opportunity to return to their physical forms to support us on the battlefield.
