No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom - The Tale of a Timeless Tome is the second big add-on to jRPG Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom. The production offers a new storyline, developing a story known from the basic version of the game and offering new information about many characters. The authors from the Level 5 studio, consistently developing the discussed cycle, are responsible for the creation of this title. The publisher is Bandai Namco Entertainment.
The story presented in Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom - The Tale of a Timeless Tome begins when Evan (the main character of the game) starts dreaming of a strange rabbit in a tuxedo - a character known from Ni no Kuni II: Wrath of the White Witch. The plot of the expansion throws new light on the silhouettes of several characters and the history of the world.
Playing in Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom - The Tale of a Timeless Tome is about exploring three-dimensional locations, chatting with characters and doing more tasks. There is no shortage of combat either. It is based on a real-time system, with the ability to control both the main character and his companions - including the new, i.e. the aforementioned mysterious rabbit.
In addition, the mechanic Martial Method known from the first large DLC returns to Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom. It allows you to use a number of new skills that allow you to more fully customize your fighting style to your preferences. The Tale of a Timeless Tome introduces two new development paths to this system - Wizard's Companion and Martha's Method.
Another novelty is the Solosseum Slog, the arena, which allows you to fight more and more difficult clashes with many different types of opponents. Players receive rewards for their success, the value of which depends on the time in which they coped with a given enemy.
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom - The Tale of a Timeless Tome can only be played alone. There are no multiplayer modes in the game - the basis of the game is a feature campaign.
No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom - The Tale of a Timeless Tome does not change the graphics of the basic version of the game, but they are not needed - even without that it looks very impressive. The luminaire is completely three-dimensional, but stylized to two-dimensional thanks to the use of cell shading technique. The mang artistic style evokes associations with the animated productions of the Ghibli studio.
