Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered is a refreshed version of a successful RPG that launched in 2010 on Nintendo 3DS. A year later, it was released on PlayStation 3 in expanded form, and the remaster is based on this edition. Both the original and the new edition are the responsibility of the Japanese studio Level 5, known from such series as Professor Layton or Yo-kai Watch.

Plot

The game does not make any changes to the plot of the PS3 prototype. The script tells the story of a boy named Oliver, who falls into a river while testing a new racing car. His mother saves him from death, but dies soon afterward. Despairing after her death, Oliver cries into a toy mascot that he received as a gift from her. His tears revive the toy and it invites him to a magical world.
