Omerta: City of Gangsters is a Mafia strategy game enriched with elements of tactics. It is a product of an experienced Bulgarian Haemimont Games Studio, known for such titles as Imperium Romanum, Tropico 3, or Tropico 4.

You play as a young immigrant who arrives in Atlantic City in the early 1920's. The beginning of his career is modest – he starts by recruiting some gang members who will help him achieve the first tasks. His ambitions are much larger though, basically coming down to taking control over the entire city. The gameplay focuses on increasing your criminal empire and taking over the territories of other Mafia families, including individual districts of this coastal city.

Omerta: City of Gangsters is an economic strategy game, which also offers extensive elements of tactics. The management of the organization (including making money investments, bribing the police and politicians, or alcohol trading) is played in real time. However, missions themselves are turn-based. In the latter mode you perform assassinations, attack territories of competing organizations, free your men from the hands of the police, and rob banks.
