A third-person roguelite action game where we eliminate hordes of enemies during missions scattered across time and space. Out of Time implements a classless system, with character abilities determined by their equipment. The game is designed for coop for up to 4 players.

Manticore Games is an American development studio from California, established in 2016. In its early years, the studio focused on the creation and development of the Core platform. Over time, the team embarked on creating a second project. Out of Time is an action roguelite game designed for cooperative gameplay.

Gameplay

In Out of Time the action is viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP). The game transports us to a universe where the past, present, and future collide. During the game we take on the roles of adventurers undertaking quick, chaotic missions scattered across time and space.

Classless system

Unlike many other games of this type, there is no division into character classes here. Instead, the specifics of the characters are determined by the equipment they use, which is linked to skills. This allows for the creation of various hybrids, even as exotic as a tank that heals allies.

Combat

Battles with enemies are the core of the gameplay and they hinder the completion of our objectives. We eliminate hordes of enemies using melee and ranged weapons, skills, and vehicles. The list of abilities includes transforming into a dragon, summoning airstrikes, or setting up Tesla towers, while vehicles include a motorcycle or a giant wheel. Besides regular foes, bosses also stand in our way.

Infinitopia

During breaks between expeditions, we find ourselves in Infinitopia, a location that serves as a hub. Here, we can spend time with other players, develop our character, and equip them with better gear, thus preparing for upcoming challenges.

Coop

Out of Time rewards teamwork with groups consisting of up to 4 people. The game implements a Tether system, which provides various bonuses when characters are close to each other, including shared enhancements. However, if one team member strays from the group, they risk endangering both themselves and their teammates.
