A remake of the cult jRPG from 2008, made by Atlus. Persona 4 Revival offers similar improvements to Persona 3 Reload from 2024. The remake features greatly improved graphics, but there are also other gameplay-related improvements over the original version of the game.
Persona 4 Revival is a remake of the cult jRPG game from 2008, titled Persona 4. The new version was developed by Atlus, the company overseeing the series.
The biggest novelty introduced in Persona 4 Revival is a thoroughly refreshed graphic design. The developers made an effort to modernize the visuals. However, this is not the end, as they also delved into the content of the game. The goal was to make it accessible both for veterans of the series and for novices who are just beginning their adventure with the brand.
Persona 4 Revival takes us to the small Japanese town of Inaba. During the game, we take on the role of a student at the local school, who not only has to cope with learning and take care of his social life and relationships with friends, but also face the dark mysteries of this place. Rumors are circulating about mysterious murders in Inaba, and a strange television channel makes no one feel safe here.
In such circumstances, our hero's supernatural abilities awaken and his Persona, which is the supernatural manifestation of his psyche, comes to the fore. Persona allows our protagonist to cross to the other side of the television screen and face threats out of this world.
In Persona 4 Revival the action is viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP). Classically for the series, the gameplay is based on two pillars, so to speak.
During the day, we lead a normal life, attending school and nurturing relationships with other people, as well as occasionally earning extra money. At night, however, we enter an alternative reality. This is where, using the power of the protagonist's Persona and his companions, we engage in turn-based battles with opponents, among which bosses are the most prominent. Battles require us to skillfully use the strengths of the characters, as well as efficiently juggle attacks and abilities. As we progress, we develop team members, which over time allows us to face increasingly greater challenges.

A series of jRPG games overseen by Atlus. The series was launched in 1996, by the game Revelations: Persona, which is a spin-off of the brand Shin Megami Tensei (originally known globally as Revelations). The production, which debuted on PlayStation consoles, was so successful that it eventually gave rise to a new, separate series. Although from the beginning the series was associated with PlayStation consoles, over the years it has also made its presence felt on other platforms.
