Persona Video Game Series (Persona)
A series of jRPG games overseen by Atlus. The series was launched in 1996, by the game Revelations: Persona, which is a spin-off of the brand Shin Megami Tensei (originally known globally as Revelations). The production, which debuted on PlayStation consoles, was so successful that it eventually gave rise to a new, separate series. Although from the beginning the series was associated with PlayStation consoles, over the years it has also made its presence felt on other platforms.
Its second installment, the Persona 2: Innocent Sin, went on sale in 1999. Its sequel - Persona 2: Eternal Punishment - appeared a year later. The full-fledged third part of the series, titled Persona 3, debuted in 2006, while the fourth installment of the series, i.e. Persona 4, hit store shelves two years later. After the release of the latter, fans had to wait for a new major Persona as long as eight years, as Persona 5 debuted only in 2016. Meanwhile, in June 2023, a full-fledged remake of the third installment of the series was announced, the game Persona 3 Reload.
In addition to the main parts of the series, the brand was also developed through expanded versions of already released games, such as Persona 3 FES 2007, Persona 4 Golden from 2012 or even Persona 5 Royal from 2019. In addition, the various installments of the series also lived to see various spin-offs, such as the 2012 released brawler Persona 4 Arena (and its sequel released a year later under the title Persona 4 Arena Ultimax), which is a cross-over Persona 3 i Persona 4 a jRPG game titled Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth from 2014 (as well as its sequel - Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth - released in 2018), a sub-series of rhythm games launched in 2015 (which includes the games Persona 4: Dancing All Night, Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight), or finally the spin-offs of the fifth installment of the series, an action game titled Persona 5 Strikers (2020) and a tactical RPG titled Persona 5 Tactica (2023).
Over the years, the brand Persona has also seen various adaptations, including in the form of manga and anime, films, as well as theatrical productions and radio plays.
In games from under the banner Persona we find ourselves in Japanese cities and take on the role of students (with the exception of the game Persona 2: Eternal Punishmentwhich characters are adults) trying to reconcile a normal life (attending classes, taking exams and participating in other school activities, as well as making new friends and nurturing existing ones) with the need to fight demons and other supernatural beings. For the latter, they use the Persons of the title, a kind of "second souls" that lie deep in their subconscious, and manifest themselves in the face of threats from another world. Clashes take place in turn-based mode, and during them we make use of both weapons and magic and other combat skills. The key to success is to discover the weaknesses of enemies and use them against them. As we progress, we develop characters, which allows them to face more and more dangers.
Games in the series Persona feature colorful graphics maintained in a cartoonish style. While Kazuma Kaneko was responsible for character designs in the first two parts of the series, starting with Persona 3 the appearance of the characters is overseen by Shigenori Soejima. On the other hand, various names are behind the music for the series, and the most recognizable composer who worked on it is Shoji Meguro.

A classic dungeon crawler with a turn-based combat system, developed for the 3DS portable console. The game is the second (after Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth) spin-off of the popular series of Japanese role-playing games developed by Atlus. The protagonists of Persona Q2 are the cast of Persona 5 from 2016. The game utilizes gameplay mechanics and principles of the Etrian Odyssey series. It is a typical dungeon crawler in which the player is traveling through a series of dark labyrinths while observing the action from a first-person perspective. The player’s party can consist of up to five characters, each of which has unique skills and attacks, taken from the main entries in the Persona series. The battles are conducted in a turn-based system, on a separate screen. The game features one of the characteristic options of the Etrian Odyssey series – the possibility for the player to manually draw maps and dungeons to explore.

Persona 5
April 4, 2017
RPG, Fantasy, jRPG, Romances, Singleplayer, TPP, Turn-based, PlayStation Exclusive, Urban Fantasy.
The fifth entry in a popular jRPG series and a part of the Shin Megami Tensei series, started in 1987. As always, the developing studio is Atlus, which created the series. The plot of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 5 revolves around the theme of seven cardinal sins and puts us in the role of an ordinary high school student, who discovers supernatural powers in himself. The protagonist lead a normal teenager’s life during the day, solving typical school problems and interacting with schoolmates, while at night he turns into a superhero, engaging in a deadly fight against evil. In terms of game mechanics, the production follows in its predecessors' footsteps, combining features of classic jRPG games and their turn-based combat with elements of school life simulator and the, popular in Japan, visual novel genre. Graphics have been created using a new, original engine and feature a dark, though cartoonish, style.
