PGA TOUR 2K21 is a realistic golf simulator. The game includes licensed golf courses and real players. HB Studios is responsible for production. The release was handled by 2K Sports.

Mechanics

In PGA TOUR 2K21 the player starts by creating his own character, who will be his avatar during the game. For this purpose, an editor has been prepared to adjust the appearance of the player (including his clothes). He then takes part in competitions taking place on actually existing golf courses and faces 11 competitors, including Justin Thomas.

The game puts focus on the realism of the game, that's why the creators have prepared advanced physics responsible for what happens on screen. During the competition, the strength and angle of impact of a golf ball must be appropriately selected, taking into account the obstacles on its flight path and the prevailing weather conditions. For those beginning their adventure with golf, an option to suggest the trajectory of the ball has been prepared.

Additionally, the game offers a tool that allows you to create your own golf course. The player can choose the number of holes, vegetation and terrain. In total, it receives more than a thousand different objects for this purpose.

Game modes

PGA TOUR 2K21 allows you to play alone in a specially prepared role-playing campaign and play with other people in several different modes ( Alt-Shot, Stroke Play, Skins and 4-Player Scramble).

The game also offers a game mode called Online Societies, in which the player manages his own golf course.

Technical aspects

PGA TOUR 2K21 has a three-dimensional, realistic graphic design. Thanks to the use of terrain scanning technology, existing golf courses have been very faithfully reproduced in their virtual versions.
