Cold War is a period that has served as a source of inspiration for countless video games. Among them is Red Dawn - a tactical RPG with graphics kept in a manga style. It was developed by the independent studio Dunamic Duo Games.

Turn-based combat

In Red Dawn the action is viewed from a bird's-eye perspective. The core of the gameplay consists of turn-based battles against enemy forces, where we lead a squad of female soldiers. Success on the battlefield is ensured by proper unit placement, flanking enemies, utilizing cover, and skillfully leveraging the strengths of the girls fighting for us. Over time, we develop the female heroes, expanding their combat capabilities.

Arsenal

Under our command are soldiers equipped with pistols, rifles, and shotguns, as well as more powerful arsenal, including anti-tank weaponry. Each weapon has its pros and cons, and which one proves effective depends on the type of challenge we face at any given moment. The game allows for weapon modification, such as selecting scopes and sights, changing barrels and grips, or deciding on the type of ammunition used.

Character appearance

The game also allows for the modification of the appearance of our heroes. We can choose their headgear, uniforms (and other types of clothing), and backpacks. Additionally, a variety of cosmetic additions and accessories (such as glasses) are at our disposal.

Story

The action of Red Dawn is set in 1984, four years after forces representing the Tiesov Public School invaded the Carimae Public School. During the game we take control of the Baker squad representing the latter. Their members are tasked with destroying a secret weapon being developed by the enemy, which is intended to tip the scales of victory in their favor.
