Renown

Renown is an independent FPP survival game created by five-person RDBK Studios from Australia. As knights, we build and destroy medieval castles in the game.

Gameplay

In Renown we start with nothing, so we need to gather resources, build a kingdom and fight for survival, developing our skills. To secure the gathered loot, we can build walls. The building system allows both the construction of unique objects and the use of prefabricated designs. The industrial ones reduce the need for excessive clicking and dragging of the interface.

As members of the clan, we co-create an empire, going through four technological levels. To do this, we raid castles belonging to other groups, using appropriate tools and siege machines. Brutal, skill-based melee combat lets us dismember our opponents. Armor deflects arrows, and a stable mount is also useful.

After logging out of Renown, we leave our character asleep, and resources and equipment inaccessible to others. The game also uses a regular server cleaning system.

Game modes

Renown offers a variety of gameplay modes, including team deathmatches, one-on-one duels, a combat-free building mode, and a raid mode. That last mode consists of rounds. Two teams start in identical castles with a limited number of weapons, armor and siege equipment. The goal is to capture the opponent's flag located deep in their castle.

The game does not include any singleplayer modes.
