A sequel to Journey of the Savage Planet - a TPP action adventure game with lots of humour. Revenge of the Savage Planet allows for both solo & coop gameplay. We explore unknown alien worlds, dealing with alien creatures, crafting tools and trying to return home.
Revenge of the Savage Planet is a sci-fi action-adventure game and a sequel to Journey to the Savage Planet released in 2020. Following the ideas of the previous installment, the sequel also boasts colorful graphics and a satirical approach to the science fiction genre. Humor is manifested in the plot, as well as in the challenges presented to us.
The sequel was developed by the independent Canadian studio Raccoon Logic, which was brought to life by former employees of Typhoon Studios, responsible for the first part of the series. One of the founders of both teams is Alex Hutchinson, known for his work on the Assassin's Creed series.
In the game we play the role of an employee of the Alta Interglobal corporation who, after waking up from hibernation, was sent to an alien planet as part of a colonization program. Unfortunately, the employers quickly realized that it was not a profitable investment and decided not only to fire the protagonist, but also to leave him to his fate. Together with the hero thirsty for revenge, we must find a way to return to our home planet.
Revenge of the Savage Planet is a third-person game focused on the exploration of alien worlds. During the game we visit different planets, which are distinguished by their climate, as well as the fauna and flora we can encounter. There is no shortage of lush jungles in the game, as well as ice-bound mountains or vast deserts inhabited by huge monsters moving under the sand.
The main character has a wide range of movements and tools, which make him excel in the role of an explorer. In Revenge of the Savage Planet we can climb peaks, dive in deep waters, and move around with the help of a grappling hook, a jetpack or a hang glider. Dodges and characteristic kicks are useful in a fight, but we can also use ranged weapons. A novelty offered by the sequel is the lasso, with the help of which we can catch certain creatures and then place them in pens next to our headquarters.
An important element of the gameplay is conducting research. We can use a scanner and try to catalog all the encountered creatures and animals. In this way, we gradually develop the character's knowledge and unlock new items that can be crafted (including weapons, armor, and tools). The game also allows us to personalize the protagonist's base.
Revenge of the Savage Planet can be experienced alone or in co-op. The cooperative mode includes both playing on a shared screen and through a network connection, regardless of the platform used (cross-play is supported).

Game Ratings for Revenge of the Savage Planet Video Game.
TheGamer: 3 / 5 by Andrew King
It's a more curated open-world experience than, say, Assassin's Creed Shadows, but it isn't nearly as different from that kind of mainstream triple-A open-world game as its roots would lead you to expect.
NoobFeed: 75 / 100 by Faviyan Mustafiz
In the end, you'll either champion Revenge of the Savage Planet for its inventive environments, tool-driven puzzles, and collectable-driven progression, or you'll criticise it for its uneven humour and shallow combat. Either way, you're met with a game that dares to spoof corporate excess while inviting you to chart your path across four distinct planets.

Silly, smart, and satisfying… Revenge of the Savage Planet is simply one of the most joyfully weird games you’ll play this year. It doesn’t rely solely on its humour to carry the experience, nor does it bog itself down with overly complex systems – what it offers instead is a focused, funny, and delightfully well-paced journey that rewards curiosity and experimentation, whether that’s when playing alone or with a friend. If you’re looking for a game that blends tight Metroidvania progression with vibrant worlds, a light-hearted tone, and plenty of reasons to just poke around and see what happens, Revenge of the Savage Planet is absolutely worth your time.
