A hybrid of turn-based strategy game with the roguelike genre. The title was developed by the independent studio Pera Games. In Overfall the player visits a fantasy universe in which they takes control of a team of heroes whose objective is to find the lost king. The gameplay concentrates on exploring the procedurally-generated world, building diplomatic relations with various factions, completing quests and fighting various enemies.

A strategy with roguelike elements, taking place in a post-apocalyptic science-fiction world. In Duskers, the player assumes the role of a drone operator, a survivor from a catastrophe that apparently annihilated every other person and changed the space into a cemetery full of dangerous monsters and other hazards. The player’s task is to discover the secret behind the tragedy and acquire the items necessary for survival.

Another installment in the action-adventure game series about two strange aliens – ToeJam and Big Earl. During their interstellar journeys, their ship crash-lands on a nearby planet, which turns out to be Earth. The heroes and their friends (on some rare occasions you will also control Peabo and Lewanda) need to find replacement parts for their vessel in order to go home.

A unique indie game by Nerial and Devolver Digital, and a combination of three genres: strategy, roguelike, and card games. Reigns takes place in an exaggerated medieval setting. You play as a king, and your objective is to manage your kingdom. You have e.g. to pass on judgments, care for the needs of your subjects, manage the economic development and diplomatic relations with your neighbors, and your decisions have various consequences, including your death, which forces you to start anew.

It adds tens of unique items to create more surprising combinations, new monsters to defeat, the special bestiary that describes them, and bonus rooms that form a huge labyrinth. Aside from that, the add-on features more difficult Greed mode and an additional chapter, as well as a new playable character and five unique challenges.

Hieroglyphika takes place in Egypt, where the protagonist, Howard Carter, gets trapped in an ancient pyramid, which has sunk deep into the desert sand. His task is to face the dangers awaiting him and to discover the secrets of the building.

A rougelike side-scroller developed by Frozenbyte. The players assume control over a ragtag group of heroes a little over their prime. The team receives a final task – escorting two princesses to a special academy. Unfortunately, the mission won’t be easy, as there will be numerous dangers lurking along the way. We begin the game with choosing three characters from an available pool of twelve different heroes.

A dynamic action platform game with roguelike features. The game was developed by the Polish studio Awesome Games. In Badass Hero the action is presented from a side perspective. The game focuses on exploration of a randomly generated comic book-like world, avoiding many traps and obstacles, and on combat with encountered enemies. The protagonist can use various shotguns, machine guns, rocket launchers, and grenade launchers.

An arcade roguelike game developed by a team of independent developers: Benedict Fritz, Greg Wohlwend, Joel Corelitz, David Laskey and Jenna Blazevich. Players are taken to a fantastic, fairy-tale like world as a titular seed. Their task is to climb to the peak of a high mountain to save the hero’s house from incoming threat. TumbleSeed’ gameplay revolves around traversing five varied, procedurally generated environments, like jungle, desert and ancient temples.

The player is taken to Ardéme - a kingdom set in a fantasy world, whose inhabitants used to enjoy an existence of happiness and well-being, ensured by Holy Water enchanted in a sacred cup. The idyllic period ended when Grand Sorcerer Ambrosius, a ruler's trustee, got bitten by a vampire and decided to flee with the sacred cup.
