Slasher's Keep

Mechanics

In Slasher's Keep we observe the action from the first person perspective (FPP camera). The gameplay is about exploring the castle and its surroundings and dealing with various challenges such as traps or enemies (we may encounter different types of enemies with different abilities). It is worth noting that the levels are generated randomly, so the gameplay looks a little different every time.

The combat system is arcade (we can perform various attacks and pair blows), but the abilities of our character are influenced by found objects - these are also created procedurally. There are a wide range of weapons (e.g. swords or different magic wands) and armour. The player even has the possibility of attacking the enemies... with his own backpack (we can, for example, push them into spikes or fall into the abyss).

The player can also use an intuitive crafting system based on a drag-and-drop interface (dragging one object to another with the mouse).

Slasher's Keep is a roguelike, which means that after every failure we start playing again, but keep access to the unlocked items.

Game modes

In Slasher's Keep we can only play alone. The core of the game is a single player sandbox mode.

Technical aspects

Slasher's Keep has an original graphic design, which combines two and three dimensional elements into one coherent whole. Thanks to its characteristic artistic style and quite minimal animation, the game looks like a comic book seen from the first person perspective. This impression is intensified by the way spells and light effects are shown.
