A racing game developed by Sonic Team studio and published by the Sega company. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds allows us to play as our favorite characters from the Sonic games. We participate in crazy races, trying to be the first to reach the finish line. The game offers crazy power-ups, including those allowing to send our competitors to other dimensions.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is a racing game featuring characters known from the Sonic series. The game was developed by Sonic Team studio, which oversees the development of the brand, while its release was handled by Sega company.
In Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, we play as various heroes and heroines that we know from the adventures of the supersonic hedgehog - Sonic (he himself also appears here as a playable character). We control vehicles and machines and take part in races on land, sea and air. The knowledge of the routes and dexterity are very important, but we must also make use of the power-ups.
The biggest novelty compared to other racing games under the Sonic banner are teleporters that transport competitors between dimensions. Thanks to them, characters fighting for a place at the finish line end up in diametrically different locations (for example - moving from a futuristic track to a dinosaur land).
The game also allows us to create our own vehicle. Additionally, special skills are waiting to be unlocked here, giving us an advantage over opponents.
We can play Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds alone or in multiplayer mode. We can have fun with other players over the Internet or on a split screen.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is a fast-paced, energetic racer that captures the speed and spirit of the Blue Blur. Each course delivers unexpected twists thanks to the impressive CrossWorld mechanic, which lets you speed through iconic areas from the franchise’s history. The tight and responsive controls with the Gadget system make each race a thrill as you always know that there’s a chance to reach the podium. While a few more modes would have better catered to solo players, the game makes up for it with a wealth of multiplayer options. And with the mustachioed rival locked to the Switch, this stands as the best kart racer available on other consoles.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is the inevitable result of Sonic Team’s growing ambition and polish combined with years of arcade racing experience. The result is the very best kart racing game I’ve played since the early 2010s, and a massive turnaround after the tepid thud of Team Sonic Racing. The titular CrossWorld mechanic makes for a game that’s bursting with variety and unpredictability, all woven together wonderfully with considered game balance and customization thanks to its gadget system. My few qualms with the game like occasionally spotty visuals and certain grindy elements do almost nothing to detract from how addicting and compelling everything about the core gameplay is, from its gamefeel to strong track design. In the end, I had to be dragged kicking and screaming away from it just to write this review, and I really think that says it all.

Sonic Racing Crossworlds is an impressive return from SEGA and Sonic Team. This outing easily stands with its arm around Mario Kart World on the same pedestal. With its depth, numerous tracks, and customisation options, alongside competitive online racing, there is plenty of replayability and longevity here. Having the crossworlds mechanics makes for spontaneous races that can turn on their head in a split second. It’s a seamless experience on Xbox Series X, running at a solid 60 frames per second, even during maximum screen intensity. It may have taken some time, but this Sonic kart-racing formula is perfection after several instalments and experimentation. There is an excellent fusion of brand-new mechanics and true nostalgia alongside its roster of well-loved characters and excellent soundtrack. For fans of Sonic and the karting genre, this game is a triumph that is well worth buying.
