An action game full of ridiculous humor. In Squirrel with a Gun we play a squirrel who wanders the neighborhood with a gun in his paw and fights the pursuing agents, performs tasks and solves various puzzles.
Squirrel with a Gun is an action game full of grotesque humor. It was made in the style of absurd "simulators" - funny games like the Goat Simulator series, as well as Pigeon Simulator or Bear Simulator, among others. It was developed by indie developer Daniel DeEntremont.
In Squirrel with a Gun the story layer does not play a particularly important role. We play as the titular squirrel, who dashes through the neighborhood with a gun in his paw and goes through various adventures, helping the residents of the area or, on the contrary, making their lives miserable in various ways.
In Squirrel with a Gun we observe the action from a third-person perspective (TPP). Game offers an open world, which we can freely roam; our squirrel climbs and jumps on the elements of the environment, and can also enter buildings. In the course of the game we perform various missions, in return for which we get various goodies; from time to time we also have to solve an environmental puzzle. At the same time, our rodent has to be on guard, as secret agents often sit on his tail, trying to catch him at all costs.
Fortunately, our charge is not defenseless. As the title suggests, she can handle firearms, which she uses to fight the pursuing thugs.... but not only. Indeed, the recoil of the guns, combined with the squirrel's low weight, allows us to cover considerable distances in the air. Although this requires a bit of dexterity and ingenuity, it allows us to get to places otherwise inaccessible.
Squirrel with a Gun features eye-pleasing graphics. Our squirrel is realistically animated and full of fine details; moreover, a physics engine takes care of the behavior of objects, characters and the rodent.

Game Ratings for Squirrel with a Gun Video Game.
The Outerhaven Productions: 3 / 5 by Karl Smart
Squirrel with a Gun is one of those games which is a streamer's dream. A lot of references to other media can be found around every corner, there is a challenge in the level design, and the guns are a lot of fun. However, with no objective marker or quest log, you do spend far too much time wandering around looking for fun instead of having fun, some of the level designs become frustrating to have to do the same thing over and over in order to get to a single objective, only to fall off something and have to climb forever all over again.
Gamer Social Club: 7.5 / 10 by Justin Chesler
Overall, I enjoyed my time with “Swag”. The game knew what it wanted to be and doesn’t overstay its welcome, clocking in at about 3-4 hours for a standard run and about 5-6 hours for getting all the achievements. I would recommend giving the game a go for its stylish presentation and if for nothing else to experience father and mother boss battles and that epic song.

Squirrel with a Gun is a pretty simplistic but upfront game that offers exactly what its ridiculous name might suggest: it’s all about tackling puzzles and obstacles as a freaking squirrel wielding a big fat gun. Whilst it does ooze the the vibes of an overrated “meme game” like Goat Simulator, it does have more substance and care put into it. It might be janky, but its level design is solid, and some of its puzzles were quite ingenious. Its one-note joke wears off after a while, but it’s still somewhat fun while the novelty lasts.
