An expansion for the 2019 World War II real-time strategy with turn-based elements. Steel Division 2: Battle of Dukla Pass features a large campaign focused on the Carpatho-Dukla Operation, which was caused by an attempt by the USSR forces to support the Slovak national uprising.
Battle of Dukla Pass is an add-on to Steel Division 2 - a World War II-themed RTS with turn-based elements. The expansion, like the original, was produced by Eugen Systems studio.
The core of this DLC is a new extensive Army General campaign, in which we participate in the historically accurate Dukla-Presov operation, covering the territories of Poland and Slovakia. The sides of the exhausting battle for the Dukla Pass from September 1944 are the USSR and Czechoslovakia, along with the Third Reich and Hungary.
The goal of the Ukrainian soldiers of the Red Army is to break through the defensive lines of the Hungarian and German corps. Time is crucial for both sides. The reinforcements for the Axis powers are coming in, but their arrival will take some time, while the besieged Slovak insurgents - whom the Soviets are trying to reach - will not last long.
Focusing on the Red Army's failed attempts to support the Slovak National Uprising, Battle of Dukla Pass includes six new divisions, including the aforementioned insurgent forces, Soviet mountain infantry, and the 18th SS Volunteer Panzergrenadier Division "Horst Wessel". The new units include Czechoslovakian equipment from the beginning of the war, long-range flamethrowers, rocket launchers BM-8-8 mounted on jeeps, biplanes He-72D and French SS units.
Similarly to the base version, in Steel Division 2: Battle of Dukla Pass wecan play both alone and in multiplayer mode over the Internet.
Battle of Dukla Pass operates as a non-standalone expansion, requiring the original Steel Division 2 to function.
