Stellar Settlers: Space Base Builder is a city builder production in which we manage extraterrestrial colonies. The game was developed by the independent studio Tinymice Entertainment from Singapore and is one of its debut projects (along with Dice & Fold and Tidebound).

Mechanics

In Stellar Settlers: Space Base Builder we build space bases on alien planets. Wanting to transform them into thriving colonies, we need to extract natural resources, create additional structures, and also attract new settlers, each of whom has an individual set of talents and strengths.

The facilities we create must be connected to each other using a system of sluices and tunnels. If we do not have enough space to expand the facility horizontally, there is nothing stopping us from building base parts on top of each other. As we progress, we gain access to increasingly advanced structures, differentiated in terms of functionality, durability, and cost.

Colonization is not that easy, because each of the procedurally generated planets has different conditions, most often unfavorable for settlement. Additionally, the situation is complicated by the fact that with the development of the colony, we have to hurry to reach a level that allows us to leave a given place before the local nature claims its own through various natural disasters.

The game has an extensive creator, thanks to which we can construct our own spaceship after collecting the required amount of raw materials. The design process of the ship is similar to the Kerbal Space Program, so during it we must bear in mind the laws of physics that will affect our ship both before and during the flight, as well as during landing. Otherwise, our spaceship may collapse along with the colonists, burying our dreams of creating a small space empire.
