Stop Dead PC

Stop Dead is an extremely fast-paced action game inspired by Doom, Mirror's Edge and Portal. It was developed by an indie team Gridsnap Games and published by Rogue Games.

Plot

Stop Dead is set in the far future, sprawling megacities covering the Earth, AIs being commonplace. One of these AIs rebels and decides to destroy its creators, using the protagonist to do so. While carrying out its plan, the protagonist is granted superhuman abilities - but if he ever stops moving, he will die.

Mechanics

Stop Dead is a first-person game. The player must rush through numerous stages scattered across four diverse biomes, sowing chaos and eliminating anyone who stands in our way. Alongside regular enemies we'll also face powerful bosses. Though we can wield firearms, it's more effective to use our telekinetic powers, throwing parts of the environment at our foes. There are also platforming challenges to overcome. We must stay mobile, slide down slopes, jump across rooftops and avoid obstacles.

The game also features Twitch integration, letting us continuously review online rankings, quickly play through new challenges and add "ghosts" of our runs into games streamed by other players.

Technical aspects

Stop Dead makes use of a colorful, cartoonish artstyle. The game's dynamic soundtrack increases its pace even further.
