Because of all that, in Carried Away the player must be very clever to create a safe and cheap lift. Luckily, the devices provided by the developers are easy in use and combining parts of the lift shouldn’t be problematic. This enables the player to quickly implement new ideas and see their positive and negative effects. Exploring a fantasy land, avoiding countless traps, jumping across platforms and solving puzzles requiring the player to manipulate letters and create new words - these activities constitute the pillar of the game's mechanics. Creating words from letters is the key feature of the game, and this is how the player deactivates various traps and gains access to new locations. For instance, in order to open a gate, the player has to assemble the word "OPEN" from the four words given. Furthermore, the player often encounters various enemies capable of tearing the protagonist into shreds. Combat in this game requires us to create antonyms of words.
