The Disney Afternoon Collection for PS4, PC and XONE is a set of six games based on classic Disney animations and cartoons, which was first released on during late 1980s and early 1990s. The Japanese company Capcom developed all of these – they established a fruitful cooperation with Disney in the 80s. A couple of great titles were yielded by this cooperation. The Disney Afternoon Collection includes games based off on four franchises: Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers; Duck Tales; TailSpin; and Darkwing Duck.
The Disney Afternoon Collection are six legendary games from the NES:
Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers (released: 1990) is a platform game for one, two, or four players. The RR team is looking for a cat belonging to Mandy – a little girl.
Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers 2 (released: 1993). The RR team faces a nemesis – another cat, who wants to steal an ancient Egyptian artifact. Just like in the original, this is a platformer allowing up to two players to play at a time.
Darkwing Duck (released: 1992), Robin Duck in disguise faces the F.O.W.L. organization, which is attacking the city of St. Cannar. Players roam the streets and rooftops using various gadgets. It’s a typical 2D platofrmer.
DuckTales (released: 1989) is another classic platofrmer. We play the part of Scoorge McDuck, who embarks on a journey around the world with his nephews. The game offers a variety of vivid levels, which can be beaten in different order, and an enjoyable soundtrack. The game also got a remake in 2013, which was developed by Way Forward.
DuckTales 2 (released: 1993) was a rather careful attempt at developing the original formula. Another adventure awaits. You must discover multiple fragments of a map that may lead to a treasure, but was concealed by an ancestor of uncle Scoorge.
TaleSpin (released: 1991) is a shoot 'em up, in which we control the Baloo airplane and complete different tasks, mostly delivering goods. During the mission, we have to deal with attacking air pirates.
All the games consisting this collection have been remaster and suited to work with contemporary gaming platforms. All of them run in native 1080p resolution and support a slew of graphical filters. The developers have also introduced new game modes, such as Boss Rush and Time Attack, as well as the ability to rewind the game a bit in case of making a mistake. Bonus artwork galleries are also part of the bundle.

Game Ratings for The Disney Afternoon Collection Video Game.
Game Revolution: 3.5 / 5 by Griffin Vacheron
Despite commendable frills, the point of this collection is games, and the truth is that these games are just old. Some are fun, others are less-so, but ultimately what you're getting is average to good platforming across the entire package with a heady shot of nostalgia, if that applies to your age bracket. DuckTales will be the highlight for some, and given that DuckTales Remastered exists you'll also want to ask yourself if you might prefer that instead. That said, at $20 it's tough to go wrong with The Disney Afternoon, and like most things Disney, you're pretty much guaranteed to have fun. That's more than many games can say, regardless of which decade they hail from.
Lords Of Gaming : 8.5 / 10 by Robert Kellett
When the original Disney Afternoon Collection was released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, it was surprising that the Switch was excluded. Classic platformers and adventure games are at home on Nintendo’s hybrid console, so the collection arriving on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 is awesome. Containing everything the original release offered, the new modes and games cement the package as a loving homage to quality Disney video games from one of Japan’s best studios.
Gamers Heroes: 75 / 100 by Connor Casey
While the Nintendo Switch 2 version of The Disney Afternoon Collection features a wealth of 8- and 16-bit classics, its light amount of extra content makes this after-school escapade feel more like an elective than a requirement.
