A spin-off of the popular series from Nintendo. The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom allows us to play as Princess Zelda and our task is to save Link and other inhabitants of Hyrule. We use the Tri Rod gadget to clone items and enemies to have them fight for us.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is an arcade-logic game and a spin-off of the best-selling The Legend of Zelda series. The development and release of this game was overseen by the Nintendo company, which is in charge of the brand.
In The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom we play as Princess Zelda herself. After Link, the main protagonist of the series, managed to save her from Ganon, he was pulled into a mysterious rift. As it turns out, such rifts in space-time began to appear throughout Hyrule and cause the disappearance of other characters.
The fairy Tri unexpectedly lends a helping hand to the protagonist and gives her an artifact known as the Tri Rod, which can clone elements of the environment. The princess sets off on a journey to investigate the new mystery of her kingdom, to ward off danger and save the affected residents of Hyrule.
In The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, we see events from a bird's eye view. The game focuses on solving environmental puzzles and other problems encountered along the way. We deal with them using objects cloned with the Tri Rod - the copies are called echoes.
They allow us to overcome terrain obstacles, get to hard-to-reach places and neutralize opponents. Interestingly, the artifact allows us to duplicate not only specific objects such as stools or boulders, but also nature elements (which allows us to create water blocks), and even adversaries.
Enemies must first be defeated before they can be cloned, but it is still a good tactic since a copied enemy can fight on our side.
The graphic design of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom was maintained in the cartoon style known from The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening.

After cooking up extremely innovative ideas with the latest 3D entries in the series, it is great to see Nintendo apply this lust for originality to top-down Legend of Zelda, too. There isn't a lot to be said for difficulty, and, like Tears of the Kingdom before it, certain gameplay features can be abused to make the quest easier, but the key thing about Echoes of Wisdom is that it is so much fun to play. The 3D games got their much-needed shake-up, and now the top-down format has received it for the better, as well. It was far too long of a wait for Princess Zelda to get her playable role in the series that bears her name, but this is an excellent start to hopefully bigger things to come.
